Last night, mid way through an extraordinarily long drive I asked my road trip companion to list his top ten things of all time. The list could include people, food, feelings, events, films, music, objects – anything. The only hard and fast rule was that each item had to make you euphorically and ultimately happy. Here was my list, in no particular order…
1. Sleeping/generally spending time in bed
2. Mr Smaggle
3. Ice cream-esque desserts – sorbet, gelato, frozen yogurt
4. Acting
5. Good health
6. Red wine
7. Sex
8. Les Mis – The Musical
9. Beautiful accessories
10. Existential harmony
It was such a great list to write and we both took the task very seriously.
Would you care to share your list? It’s actually quite difficult and extremely eye opening. Good luck!
Love Carly

Not two weeks ago, I discovered a top-ten list in the middle of my carry-it-everywhere notebook that I apparently wrote while drunk with my husband. In order:

4. Sex
5. Sleeping
6. Reading books
7. Reading anything else
8. Fashion

You know how much I love ranking lists, Lady. So much so that 'Lists' narrowly misses out being in my top ten favourite things.BUT here, my top ten, in non-particular order:
1. My love
2. Bookshops, and what you can buy in them
3. Booze. Any sort.
4. Bread. Any sort.
5. Pretty dresses, especially if they have flowers on them
6. Showers
7. Friends
8. Family (obviously)
9. Sex and cuddles
10. Theatre. Seeing and making.I could add: writing, teaching, memes, making and eating banana cake, tulips, apples, red lipstick, trash television, country music, honeycomb, ugly-looking dogs, jewels, steak, quizzes, cheese, visual art, and ranting, but that's just too many things.
