LOATHES

  • Missing my little Melbourne family – Oadie, Co-Dependent Smaggle and Roomy Smaggle. I’m trying really hard to hate Melbourne and they are making it very difficult for me.
  • Coming home from the shops to discover I’m out of milk.
  • People whose underwear show. To me, it’s never cool.
  • Ignoring my assignment. It’s really starting to loom now.
  • Not having a sewing machine. I have so many DIY’s that I want to try…

    I love my sewing machine! And my overlocker. And the library.

    I hate use of the phrase ‘channelling your inner . . . ‘ – CRINGE. And I hate the stationary bike (knee injury rehab). But I love watching Flight of the Conchords while I pedal.

    can’t live without my sewing machine….can’t afford an overlocker…so we just try our best with what we have….although the number of needles i’ve broken lately makes me wonder if i know what i’m doing……actually,i don’t.trial and error. What DIY’s are you upto?????
    Are you into taking your old clothes apart and making something new…i love doing that….cos can’t afford new clothes…., but DIY ROCKS!!!!!!!!
    (and yes, underwear showing is like,so last century and freakin’ naff)

    My new winter wardrobe aquirements

    Loml giving me all the closet space, thus keeping his clothes in boxes
    LOATHE:
    School holidays (more so working in a tourist driven area, with hoards of screaming badly behaved school kids tearing around)
    Oh yes, the under wear thing! Picture this; driving down major arterial road on Easter Saturday, cars swerving into other lane to avoid lady cycling on road with big bum, khaki cargo pants sliding right down, bright blue poly lace g string in full view. Needless to say, male drivers were beeping, female drivers were snickering….poor/foolish bike lady was none the wiser.
    Negative people! Cheer up dammit!
