Lady loves…

* Weight Watchers Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. The perfect diet treat.

* Discovering that there is a FABULOUS traditional drive-in movie theatre just down the road from me. Co-Dependent Smaggle and I checked it out on Saturday night. We wore our ugg-boots, it was magnificent.

* My house being clean and tidy.

* My new enormous swishy neutral rain coat that I thrifted at a fete on the weekend. I also got some beautiful antique chairs. I bought furniture! Does this mean I’m a grown up now?

* Sex and the City. I just started watching it from the beginning again. I suspect that I shall do this every few years for the rest of my life.

* Avocado.

* Flicking through a massive stack of old Vogue magazines and tearing out the pretty pages to make collages.

* Sunshine.

Lady loathes…

* Seeing horrendous car accidents. No one was hurt but I’ve been shaky all afternoon.

* Bad manners.

* My course. For this week anyway… I don’t WANT to make a sleeved container, or a hinged box or an offering bowl. I want to make pretty earrings. Leave me alone.

* Having a crap day yesterday and waking up with a purposefully positive attitude today only to find that today was even crapper than yesterday. Although my Frankie magazine arrived today. Thank god.

* Business hours. I work and study in business hours. How am I supposed to call my landlord, pay my bills and go to the post office? Does this annoy anyone else?

What about you poppet face? Anything to share…?

Love Lady Smaggle

    Business hours make me insane! I actually rearranged my work schedule to skip my lunch break so I can finish at 3 and have time to do audacious things like buy stamps! and return questionable shoes! and go to the doctor!

    Business hours are ridiculous! I’m also pretty sure they are a conspiracy between my mobile phone company and any other business I’m trying to get a hold of after 5pm on a weekday or anytime during the weekend. They don’t want you to be able to use the “free nights and weekend minutes” if they know you are inevitably going to be on hold for an hour and a half trying to get your electric bill sorted out so they make you use daytime minutes because these calls will eat up you valuable daytime minutes and you then get charged extra (per minute) fees for going over!

    so I have some strong feelings about the subject, I guess.

    Unfortunately it’s called a lunch break 🙁

    Although the PO on little bourke/elizabeth is open on Saturdays.

    Loving: My new copper hairs, having only 30 days left at current job, getting dumplings from Gormon House Markets on Saturday mornings, New Moon in less than a month…

    Loathing: Having to wait 30 days to start my awesome new job, trying to find decent accommodations in Sydney for the Tori Amos concert, being poor from too many etsy/ebay purchases, spring rapidly turining into summer without my consent!

    Xx

    Sarah – I used to do that too! Although Iworked at a University so their was a bank and a post office right there. I miss that job…

    Reckless – Totally! It’s so annoying. I swear by Virgin. Best mobile phone service I’ve ever had.

    Mimi – yeah but when you’re studying and covered in acid it takes a really long time to ‘de-acid’ just for a lunch break so I usually skip it and I teach so I can’t really take lunch breaks because I’m often on duty. Sucks.

    Grant – I’m hearing on the summer business. Mr Smaggle is like a little hot water bottle which is lovely in winter but hell in summer. I banish him to his side of the bed in summer. 🙁
