How to dress for a Summer Christmas…

Why don’t you…?

* Wear a long cream maxi dress that shows off your shoulders? Wooden bangles up to your elbows? Tan wedges with a wooden sole? Berry hued lipstick and tousled hair?

* Pin a Christmas ornament in your hair?

* Slip into some delicious white linen sailor pants? With a navy and white striped boat neck t-shirt? Pin a natty pill box to your head? Paint your nails in shiny red varnish?

* Ban black?

* Wrap yourself in a silk caftan? Low cut at the front to accentuate your milky tan? Bare feet? With an ankle bracelet? Wrap your hair up in a printed scarf? With shoulder-duster earrings?

* Wear the silly paper hats that come in Christmas crackers? Realise that there is nothing more stylish than a sense of humour?

* Wear a knee-skimming lace dress? With massive chandelier earrings? Your hair in a bee hive? With open-toed court shoes?

Here are a few Christmas posts that I did last year if you feel so inclined to go digging through the archives!

    I can’t believe Christmas is just around the bend again! I am starting to get really excited now that my gift list is almost complete and I only have 2 more days of work. Merry Christmas! Oh and I certainly will dress up in my summery best this year! xx

    I take particular offence at suggestion #4. Christmas is a time for coming together not segregation.

    @Azz… I hope you are joking and taking banning black to mean black people rather than wearing black clothes.
    A tradition that we started last year was thanks to my parents’ host student from Paraguay. It’s apparently quite a Christmas tradition there to wear red on Christmas day. I won’t be wearing all red on Christmas day this year but I did buy this cute red bow tie that I plan on styling on the day 😀

    Ban black! YESSSS!!! (The clothing color, obvs, not cats, people, etc.)

    Those outfits all sound absolutely delicious! I’m afraid I’m deep in the northern hemisphere, and a lot more likely to be rocking wide-legged sating lined wool trousers and a fitted sweater.

    Wonderful ideas. I really wish I was having a summery Christmas!
