One of my delightful friends Azz is an artist (check out his portfolio – it’s awesome!) and he discovered this site and very sweetly passed it on to me this morning. Wear Palettes is the coolest site ever. This graphic designer takes pictures from the Sartorialist (which I am sure most of my readers are familiar with) and designs a colour palette to go with the photo. The truly awesome thing is that he uses the colours in the whole photo not just in the outfit. This is a truly amazing resource for designers and stylists as you can choose to browse the site through colour. So for instance if pink tickles your fancy all you have to do is select pink and all outfits containing pink are shown with the colour palette right next to it! It’s genius. It’s like spotting an immaculately dressed gal in the street and having someone break down the outfit for you. If you get a little weirded out when it comes to deciding if colours go together or not you can check this site and there is bound to be someone who has roadtested for you. Although I must admit that most of the colour combinations were fairly similar in the individual colour archives. Which just goes to show that correct colour combination may just be the key to stylish dressing…
