3 Tips to Help You Get Dressed in the Morning

3 Tips to Help You Get Dressed in the Morning
Carly Jacobs

Does the thought of having to get dressed in the morning keep you awake at night? I have nightmares about it sometimes. I make very poor decisions at 6am and my will to dress well completely evaporates. I’m also not a very good conversationalist at that hour but that’s beside the point. Here a few tips that might make this hellish experience a little more bearable…

* Have a dress rehearsal– The first few times you do this you’ll feel like an absolute twat. But it works I promise. Just have a play and experiment with your wardrobe. It is SUCH a delight choosing your outfit when you have plenty time in the evening. Ask your family for advice and give them a couple of options to choose from. The Smaggles love it! And you also get a third party opinion so you can stop any wardrobe disasters in their tracks.

* Put everything in a neat pile for you to slip into in the morning – I am talking shoes, accessories, the lot! Even underwear. I wake up 15 minutes before I leave the house. All thanks to my trusty little pile.

* Don’t get performance anxiety– The outfit that was perfect last night is still perfect now. Just deal with your 6am cranky pants crap and move on. You do not have time to choose anything better than what you are already wearing. And you don’t need to add or subtract anything to improve it. Honestly half the battle is fighting your own stupid brain.

I hope you all have fun doing your dress rehearsals tonight… let me know how it goes!
