The Difference Between Self Kindness and Laziness

he official term for being kind to yourself/cutting yourself some slack is self-compassion. It’s a strategy that feels quite weird for some people. It sounds vaguely like giving ourselves an easy out for mistakes, and thereby lowering our standards. It can be really difficult to figure out whether or not you need to give yourself some TLC or to kick your own butt.

I usually write a proper article to accompany my podcast posts but I think this is best listened to, particularly if you don’t know whether or not you need a hug or a poke with a stick.
