9 Sweet Things That Will Stop You Sweating The Small Stuff

Yesterday was not a good day. I usually spend Monday’s planning out my content for the week but my brain was fried. I received some sad news about a friend. Lots of blog bits and pieces went wrong. My evening plans changed unexpectedly. I spent the afternoon freaking out about getting my content done and then all of a sudden I just thought ‘Fuck it.’ So I wrote one blog post instead of my usual five – just one lovely list of lovely things and wrote off the afternoon instead. I went for a run, I did some crocheting and I went to the pub for a beer with some mates like a normal person. Sometimes you need to just be a bit kind to yourself and take a few precautions so you stop sweating the small stuff…

Why don’t you? 

1. Add a splash of low calorie cranberry juice to your water? Give it a guilt free and fruity zing?

2. Skip the gym? Walk up a mountain instead?

3. Watch your favourite childhood shows on YouTube? Blossom? Full House?

4. Keep your toes perfectly manicured even though they’re usually hidden inside your shoes? Do it just for you?

5. Do a cart wheel? Or a forward roll? Or just do a stupid dance because you can?

6. Listen to someone? Really listen? Ask them questions? Make them feel special for a few moments?

7. Make hot chocolate in a saucepan on the stove? The old fashioned way? And serve it with pink and white marshmallows?

8. Crush fresh mint in your hands and have a big whiff?

9. Make a pile of fallen leaves and crunch through them like a little kid?
