Very Excellent Habits

So… I’m going to India with World Vision.

Yeah… So it’s all a bit weird and wonderful. My beautiful friend Eden very kindly (and unbelievably) put me forward for a blogger trip to India with World Vision (and quite surprisingly they were willing to take me!) so in just three weeks I’m on a plane to New Delhi with Eden from Edenland, Kelly from Be a Fun Mum, Mischo Baranovic and the gorgeous Joy from World Vision.

I’m incredibly humbled and excited to be given such an amazing opportunity. Yesterday I met with our trip organiser Joy and the World Vision media whiz Janet to get a briefing on my trip. The whole point is for us to go and visit their projects in India and share our experiences with you guys. My main areas of focus will be child labour, children living in poverty and women’s rights. I cannot believe how well they managed to set me up with issues that are so close to my heart and I can’t wait to learn more about the projects and share them with you.

I’m going to get a little soppy on you here for a minute and tell you all how much I love you. My readers are my world and you guys are awesome. Intelligent, respectful, hilarious. I’m so excited and nervous and grateful and it’s all because of you guys. You had me at hello.

If you have any genius ideas for structured coverage of the trip, I’d love to hear about it.

At the moment I’m all ‘MIMED INTERVIEWS IN THE DARK! INTERPRETIVE DANCE FUNDRAISING VLOGS! THE WORLD’S LONGEST HANDSHAKE!’ I’ve kind of lost the plot a bit.

Love you.
