Snack Attack: Three Awesome Toppings for Crispbread + $100 Voucher Giveaway!

This post is sponsored by Nuffnang and Arnotts.

If you’ve been reading Smaggle for a while you’ll know I’m a long time carbohydrate avoider. I don’t scream and run at the sight of a hamburger but in general pasta, rice and bread are sometimes foods in my diet rather than daily staples. I’ve long been a fan of the old Cruskit as a sneaky lower carb vehicle for protein so I was delighted when they wanted to collaborate on this post. It’s so easy to eat more calories and carbs than we need in a day and it’s little changes that make a difference. Replacing two pieces of most bread with two Cruskits will save you around 150 calories if you go with  Light Cruskits that have only 45 calories per two crispbreads. Total calorie bargain. Here are a few snack ideas for when the 3pm Mars Bar cravings hit but you want a healthier alternative.

Salami Pizza

Pizza sauce, low fat salami (30 calories) and Parmesan cheese (30 calories) on Light Cruskits (42 calories for 2).

Total Calories – 102

Salmon and Dill

Extra Light Philadelphia cream cheese (52 calories per mini tub), smoked salmon (34 calories) and dill on Light Cruskits (42 calories for 2).

Total Calories – 128

Choc Strawberry

Chocolate Philadelphia cream cheese (120 calories per mini tub) and sliced strawberries on Light Cruskits (42 calories for 2).

Total Calories – 162

Just FYI, Cruskits are also awesome as croutons in soups and salads. You can also use them to shovel cheese in your mouth. They are quite perfect for that.

For your chance to win a $100 Coles gift voucher simply comment with your most favourite Cruskit topping. Vegemite and cheese anyone?
