What Happens To The Ring When An Engagement Breaks Off? Survey Results.

Last week I ran a survey asking what happens to the ring when an engagement breaks off? Over 150 people participated in the survey and there were some amazing comments too. I literally couldn’t do them without your support and I love organising the data and making the graphs for you. It gives me a tiny little Virgo boner.

Here are the results.

If you broke off an engagement, would you keep the ring if you paid for it?

Would you keep the ring if it was a family heirloom of your partner’s?

* NOTE – the 2% ‘no’ slice of this pie should say ‘yes’. It’s not just a confusing yet creative way of displaying statistical data. I simply fucked it up.

Would you keep the ring if you were the one to break off the engagement?

Would you keep the ring if your partner was the one to break off the engagement?

Would you keep the ring if your partner cheated on you?

Would you keep the ring if you cheated on your partner?

Would you ever have an engagement ring melted down and made into something else?

Have you ever been a part of a broken engagement?

Did you give the ring back?

Have you ever been a part of a broken marriage?

Did you give the ring back?
