‘ve never been a big fan of shirt dresses because I’m built like a football player. I’m all shoulders and short, stocky legs. I love Totem clothing in Melko on Brunswick street and I spotted this dress in their window and thought I’d try it on. I freaking love it. I wear it all the time. It’s super comfortable but still looks a bit dressed up. I struggle with summer fashions because I hate looking casual but if I can find something that feels like caftan but looks decent enough to go to work in, I’m totally sold.
Wearing
Dress by Totem from Melko
Shoe from Merrell – these babies took a while to wear in but I love them. I walk a lot and they’ve held up beautifully. I’m going to get the same pair in nude as well for summer.
Coin necklace from my grandfather
Rings and earrings from Thailand, Bali and Byron Bay
This outfit was worn for a busy day of running errands – visits to the post office, grocery shopping and catching up on my finances. So boring but totally necessary. I also saw some baby ducks today! They were totally adorable.
Is there a style of clothing you’ve been avoiding because you think it’s not flattering? Do you think you’ll ever give it a try?
