How to Be the Perfect Bridesmaid – Audiobook Launch.

A few months ago, a friend of mine got asked to be a bridesmaid in a wedding and she was so stressed I could almost see the big vein in her head getting ready to pop. It was during a discussion about the impending hens night that I had a thought – I’ve been a bridesmaid three times and I often have people (usually bridesmaids to be honest) ask me advice about it. So I decided to write and record a short audio book to assist bridesmaids who need a little help.

The audiobook is divided into chapters – The Asking, Potential Party Poopers, Planning the Wedding, Buying The Dress, Bridesmaid Dress Shopping, Knowing Your Timelines, The Hen’s Night, Money Money Money, The Week of the Wedding, The Day of the Wedding, The Ceremony, The Reception, The Morning After and Little Things You Can Do Along The Way.

All packed into a tidy 45 minute recording.

It covers everything from dress shopping advice, the sticky issue of money and what to pack in your bridesmaid bag. The advice comes from my own personal experiences, interviews with brides and bridesmaids and research into wedding traditions and how they’ve evolved. It’s the perfect guide for the modern maid.

It’s available here for $2.99 which is less than a cup of coffee, but about the same as a muffin and this audiobook will be way better for you, I promise. Cafe muffins are usually crap anyway. It’s also available at Amazon for 99c, which is insane because I can’t think of anything that you can get for 99c, except an expired Mars Bars. I’m pretty sure my audiobook is better than an expired Mars Bar.

It takes no time at all to download the audiobook to your iPod and you can listen to it in the car, at the gym or while you’re cooking dinner. Or you can sit still with your eyes closed, picturing me talking to you. Whatever takes your fancy.

I’d like to send a massive thank you to all my wonderful readers, who have provided interviews, statements and anonymous stories and Polka Dot Bride for promptly answering every frantic tweet I sent her for the last few months.

This audiobook is dedicated to Mrs G, Mrs R and Mrs W (Brides 1, 2 and 3 respectively) for being wonderful brides and fabulous fodder for my first audiobook. This one’s for you.

On that note – does anyone have a funny wedding story to share? Bride fell over? Maid of honour turned up looking orange? Grandma got wasted? Do share!

P.S Incidently this fabulous product is also available on iTunes for $16.99. Please feel free to buy it from here also. I’ve done some market research, and apparently people who buy audiobooks from iTunes make better lovers than Amazon buyers. I mean… that’s just what I’ve heard.

P.P.S I have had no control over any of the pricing. Oh the joys of mass digital distribution!
