9 Things To Make You Feel All Warm and Fuzzy Inside

T

his is my favourite regular segment on Smaggle. I write little lists of lovely things to do to brighten your week. It’s a tribute to the late great Diana Vreeland who had a column in Harper’s Bazaar called ‘Why don’t you…?’ where she’d write a decadent and beautiful list of life suggestions for her readers. I just think it’s very nice to do nice things you know? Here are 9 things to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside…

Why don’t you…?

1. Go on a cocktail crawl with your bestie? Wander from bar to bar in your city? Having one perfect drink at each location?

2. Allow yourself to daydream? Make a cup of tea? Sit outside and allow your mind to wander while you drink it?

3. Cover something in rhinestones? Your phone case? A little notebook for your handbag? The pen holder on your desk?

4. Learn to read palms? Give positive and uplifting readings to people who are feeling down?

5. Buy a sheet of beautiful stickers? Place one on every letter, report, message that you write? Make it your trademark?

6. Wear your hair in a very messy up do with no other make up than a splash of red lippy? Look like a carefree urchin child for just one day?

7. Make healthy little snack packs of carrot sticks and hummus? Small bags of nuts? Deliver them around your office at 3pm and make everyone’s day?

8. Buy a mini blackboard? Hang it where you can see it first thing in the morning? Write yourself an extraordinary message to wake up to every day?

9. Get yourself a big glorious sunhat and wear it every single day when you step outside? Even in winter?

Research has shown that people who subscribe to the Smaggle newsletter and like Smags on Facebook are, on average at least 32% better looking than people who don’t. You can’t argue with questionable science like that.
