How To Make Green Tea

I’ve tried and tried to love green tea because all the pretty people love it but I’ve always found it really gross. Turns out I’ve been pouring boiling hot water on it and burning the ever-loving crap out of it like 99% of white people do. My cousin told me to get hot water, add cold water so it’s just hot, add the tea bag and only steep it for like 30 seconds to a minute. Green tea is awesome for me now.

There’s a Schedule Button on Facebook

So I’m at this big fancy blogging conference, my fourth year in a row, sitting behind my agent, feeling so professional when the speaker was describing a Facebook marketing technique involving the scheduler. I was like ‘The what???‘. Did you know you can click on the clock button and time posts for any time in the future? Mind blown.

Bombay and Mumbai Are the Same Place

I actually learnt this is India last year but how embarrassment.

If I Tint My Eyebrows I Don’t Need to Spend Time Colouring Them In Every Morning

I got my eyebrows tinted for the first time last week and now my eyebrows exist. It’s brilliant and so obvious that I’m kicking myself for not doing it earlier.

Parks and Recreation Is Awesome

Hilarious… I consider myself fairly intelligent and well-travelled, but yes I had the same Mumbai and Bombay moment myself a few years ago. Doh!

Ohhhh no with the tea!! I tell everyone who will listen but no one hears me! Same for white teas, they’re beautifully delicate with similar health benefits to green tea but can’t stand water more than around 70 degrees.

I have a cool kettle where you can set the actual temperature you want for different teas. It’s awsome.

        I NEED this kettle. Amaze.

LOVE white tea (the taste and watching the leaves unfurl. Beautifully contemplative). Can’t stand green. Hate chai. Adore a good coffee. Love herbals but chamomile makes me nauseous. Contradictions abound!

I learned only a couple of years ago that Sigfreid and Roy are two separate people. Until that time I thought there was just one guy called Ziegfreidelroy. Go figure.

    • Sar Cullen 11 years ago

Hahahaha! Thank you! You just made my morning! I’m all head coldy and feeling gross but reading Ziegfreidelroy has made me giggle endlessly. I think that word will be stuck in my head for days -yay!

I still get confused with where the hell and what countries are Denmark, The Netherlands, if your Danish or Dutch. I am so confused by the one. I do know Iceland is a seperate countries. Don’t ask me to point out where Princess Mary will become queen???

I even speak in broken English. Oh Dear

I only know this because I worked with a Danish lady from Denmark and she’d whoop my ass if I said she was Dutch. It was confusing though because she loved to eat Dutch liquorice so it was all really confusing.

One day, tinting your eyebrows won’t be enough, they start getting sparser. Too many cardigans. Really must kick that addiction. Weed, otherwise the garden will get out of control. If you don’t keep eating spicy foods, you lose your tolerance and Best Beloved will spend the whole dinner at a Thai restaurant laughing at you….

Do mean your eyebrows actually get sparser or you just think they do?

      • Erika 11 years ago

I think they start thinning out. There are definitely a few patches that benefit from a damn good crayon, brow powder just doesn’t do the trick anymore. I splurged on a Chanel one, it was easy to use when testing, and I expect to get a good couple of years out of it.
